What is happening in the lab!

We said goodbye to three amazing exchange students before the summer break! 

Shuer defended his thesis with flying colours! Congradulations Dr Ye!

We had a great time hosting three amazing people in the field of brain mapping here! 

We have three exchange students and one baby joining the lab this year!

It has been quite busy to post things around here, but we had a very productive year, finished off with the opening of the new dementia centre with his majesty, King of Norway!

Congratulations to Shuer for heading this interesting work on the network properties related to emotional vulnerability! 

I can't believe we are turning 4! So much has happened, and so much is in the pipeline. Very proud of this energetic and diverse team!

Hugo and Jeannette finished their work in the lab with amazing results, and so much learning of new tools and methods, before heading back to India and France. We will miss you both!

It was a nice suprise to see stories of WiN shared in OHBM newsletter GLOBALLY! Thank you communication team for featuring my story!

One of the first studies on social emotion and aging using fMRI. We showed that anger and pride are processed similarly at the neural level among older adults.

We finished this year's lab meeting with the theme of "what would be your next perfect experiment idea" and had delicious pizza! Lots of fun ideas!

We tried bowling. The point was to have fun not to count the scores. Although some of us had really high scores.

What a pleasure to have three Kavli prize laureates this year on face perception and meet one of my scientific heroes, Prof. Kanwisher. 

Three friendly faces from the lab participated and talked all about emotion and brain to high schoolers!

Jae and Jasper defended their thesis before summer and after summer with excellent performance, well done you two! We will miss having you both around. 

Maryam was elected to serve as secretary of the OHBM council! This is very exciting news. 

I love that my team meets and discusses their projects even when I'm on maternity leave. 

My team presented their work on human emotion and aging during a celebration event for the 10th anniversary of the Nobel Prize to May-Britt and Edvard Moser.
